2012 Biennial Shoalhaven Photography Competition

With the support of the Shoalhaven Arts Board, the Shoalhaven Photographic Club invites entries in the 2012 Biennial Shoalhaven Photography Competition. The competition is open to all photographers from Australia and New Zealand.

Closing Date: 28th April 2012

Open subject, print media only
Categories : Colour, Monochrome or Creative/Altered Reality
Major prizes: 1st - $1000, 2nd - $500, 3rd - $250

An exhibition of prize winners and selected entries will be held at the Shoalhaven City Arts Centre from 1st to 27th June 2012.

Henry Lawson Camera Club - INVITATIONAL DIGITAL COMPETITION 2012

Closing Date: Closing date for entries - Friday 2nd December 2011 Closed
Entry: Digital only. Images to be submitted on CD or DVD. Details and entry form available here.
Exhibition Date: Sunday 22nd January 2012
Exhibition Venue: Henry Lawson Club Ltd.
Henry Lawson Avenue, Werrington County. Off Dunheved Road
Exhibition Time: 1.00pm to 5.00pm
Judges: Perc Carter; Len Brown AAPS, SSAPS, FCC ESA; Dawn Zandstra AAPS,FCC ESA.
Awards: Awards are made in each category where there are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place as well as Highly Commended Certificates.
The best image in the competition will come from the winners of the five category winners.
Prizes: Winners of each section will receive a laminated certificate plus a distribution of the money from the pool of entry fees.

Nambucca Heads Camera Club - NAMBUCCA DISTRICT PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION

Conducted as part of the 100th NAMBUCCA RIVER DISTRICT AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION LIMITED Annual Show to be held on the 27th and 28th April, 2012.

Capturing the world's best images........

The 2012 Macquarie Photography Prize categories will be 'Funny Faces', 'Storms', 'Architecture' and 'Arthouse'.
Entrants are eligible from any country and any age.
Prizemoney is $10,000AUD ............ at this stage. It might yet be increased.
Best in Show will receive $5,000AUD and the 4 sectional winners $500AUD each.
The People's Choice winner receives camera equipment worth $3,000AUD.

Finalists per section have been increased from 20 to 25.

Judge for 2012 will be Mr Craig Parry who was the winner of the 'Live Action' section and People's Choice in 2011. To view some of Craig's photography at www.craigparryphotography.com.
