Australian Interstate Photographic Competition
The Australian Interstate Photographic Competition (AIPC) is held annually at the Australian Photographic Society Convention (APSCON).
The state body of the state where APSCON is being held has responsibility for conducting the competition.
The motivating force is to ensure closer and more effective co-operation between the state bodies and APS.
The Organising Committee consists of two members from each state and an APS Management
Committee member to act an Liaison Officer.
The first Competition, as the Allied Camera Clubs (ACC) competition was held during the 1989 Launceston APSCON.
In 2005 the name was changed to Australian Interstate Photographic Competition (AIPC).
The Acceptances (maximum of 2 per year) gained in APIC can be used for the photographic honour LAPS.
Herbert Medals are awarded to the winners of each section. The five best entries in each section are awarded Merit Certificates.
The Alan Moran Trophy is awarded to the State gaining the highest combined total of all sections.
